Legal
Terms
These terms state the basis on which this website is published and read. A person who reads the site is taken to have read them.
1. Who publishes this site
This website is published by Juris Eagle, a practice of advocates enrolled with a State Bar Council of India and governed by the Advocates Act, 1961 and the Bar Council of India Rules made under it. The practice works in advisory, arbitration and litigation, from offices at Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi.
2. The site is informational
This website is intended solely for informational purposes and does not constitute solicitation or advertisement under applicable Bar Council regulations. The transmission or receipt of information through this platform does not create an advocate-client relationship. Legal advice is rendered only upon formal written engagement with the firm.
Nothing on this website is an invitation, inducement or solicitation of any kind, and nothing on it is legal advice. The material is published for general information and is not a substitute for advice on any particular matter. No person should act, or refrain from acting, on anything published here without taking advice on their own facts.
3. The law changes and the site may lag it
Each note states the date to which the law on it is stated. Statutes, rules, regulations, notifications and judgments change, and a note may not have been revised since the change. Where a date is not stated, the material should be read as stated at the date of publication shown on the page.
4. Use of the material
The text, tables and drawings on this site, and the name and mark of the practice, belong to Juris Eagle unless the page says otherwise. The material may be read, printed, quoted and circulated for a reader's own use and within their organisation, with the source named and a link to the page where it appeared. It may not be republished as another person's work, resold, or used in any material that solicits legal work.
Statutory text, rules and judgments quoted on this site are reproduced from their published sources and carry the position of those sources, not of this practice.
5. Calculators and other interactive material
Where this site offers a calculator, it is an arithmetic aid to a published note. It states its assumptions and cites the provision it applies. It takes no account of the facts of any particular matter, and a figure it returns is not advice. Figures entered stay in the browser: nothing is transmitted, stored or emailed.
6. Links out of this site
Links to statutes, regulators, tribunals and courts are given so a reader can go to the primary source. Those sites are not controlled by this practice and their content is not adopted by the link. The Login link goes to the practice's own platform, which is a separate application with its own terms.
7. Availability
The site is published as it stands and as it is available. It may be withdrawn, suspended or altered without notice, and no undertaking is given that it will be free of interruption or error.
8. Personal data and cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and builds no profile of a reader. Page counts are recorded in aggregate and no per-visitor row is stored. The one exception is a record kept in the reader's own browser of the notice accepted on entry, together with its date and version, so the notice is not shown again. What personal data the practice holds through this site, and how it may be corrected or erased, is set out in the privacy notice.
9. Liability
Juris Eagle is not liable for any consequence of any action taken by a reader relying on material published on this website. A reader with a legal issue must in all cases seek independent legal advice.
10. Governing law
These terms, and any question arising out of the use of this website, are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The date below moves when they are, and material revisions are recorded in the site log.
