  • Semicon 2.0, Scheme for development of Semiconductor Design and Manufacturing Ecosystem in India, F. No. W-38/6/2025-IPHW (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology)

    Notified in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1. Fiscal support for a silicon wafer fab is set at 40 per cent of eligible capital expenditure on a pari passu basis, against the up to 50 per cent the first Semicon India Programme carried, with 35 per cent for compound, display and advanced packaging units and 25 per cent for legacy packaging. Eligible work is divided into six pillars and ten categories, each manufacturing category conditioned on a minimum capital investment, a minimum revenue already earned in one of the three preceding financial years across group companies and joint ventures, and production grade technology owned or licensed by the applicant.

  • Central rules under all four labour codes

    The Central Government notified final rules under all four codes, which is the point at which the gratuity and overtime changes become workable in practice.

  • The Code on Wages, 2019; the Industrial Relations Code, 2020; the Code on Social Security, 2020; the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020

    The four labour codes were notified, replacing the bulk of the central labour statutes they consolidate.
